Obituary for Hazel Mae White

Hazel Mae White, age 78, of Aurora, Missouri, passed away at 7:33 p.m. on Sunday, May 13, 2018, at Cox South in Springfield, Missouri. She was born May 10, 1940, in Grandview, Arkansas, the daughter of David Houston and Chloe Malie (Rhoden) Cloud.

Over the years, Hazel had worked for the Aurora Bank Hotel, Vern’s Burger Bar, Farm House Restaurant and retired from Bass Pro Shops in Springfield, Missouri. She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church in Aurora.

On June 20, 1957, she married Wilburn Dale White in Marionville, Missouri. He preceded her in death on July 21, 2011.

Hazel is survived by her son, K. Dale White of Columbia, South Carolina; daughter-in-law, Debbie White, of Lebanon, Missouri; grandson, Trenton Shepard, of Springfield, Missouri; sister, Lois Mounce of Aurora and several nieces and nephews.

Her parents, David and Chloe, husband, Wilburn, son, Floyd White, and two sisters, Sarah Cloud and Amanda Gifford preceded her in death.

A graveside service, under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, in Aurora, Missouri, will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora. Visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, in the funeral home chapel.

Memorial donations may be made payable to the American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home.
