Obituary for Thomas Lynn "Tommy" Angus

Thomas Lynn Angus, age 92, of Aurora, Missouri, passed away at 4:35 pm. on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at his home.  He was born December 26, 1924, in Stone County, Missouri, the son of Lynn and Mary (Toynton) Angus.

Tommy was a World War II Army Veteran.  He worked as a shoe cutter at the Juvenile Shoe Factory, in Aurora, for over 35 years.  He was a Mason and a member of the Engage Church of Aurora.

On August 14, 1948, he married Virginia “Babe” Powell, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Virginia; two daughters, Diana Friggle and her husband, Jim, of Aurora and Donna Harmsworth and her husband, Mark, of Willard, Missouri; four grandchildren, Brandt Friggle and his wife, Tori, and Ashley Friggle, all of Aurora, Joshua Harmsworth and his wife, Kate, of Sunnyvale, California, and Amanda Williams and husband, Brock, of Willard; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Beverly Fulp of Aurora and several nieces and nephews.

His parents, Lynn and Mary, two sisters and three brothers, preceded him in death.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 2, 2017, at the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora.  Burial, with full military honors, will follow at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora.  Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 1, 2017, in the funeral home chapel.
