Obituary for James R. Ferdinand

James R. Ferdinand, age 38, of Aurora, Missouri, passed away at 10:42 p.m. on Friday, January 11, 2019, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. He was born September 15, 1980, in St. Louis County, Missouri.

James was a 1999 graduate of the Aurora High School and a United States Navy Veteran where he was a F14 Systems Organizational Career Maintenance Technician. After the service he graduated from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in St. Louis, with honors in baking and cooking. He attended the Harvest Fellowship Church in Aurora and loved his daughter and fishing.

James is survived by his mother, Lois Adams of Aurora; his father and stepmother, Ryder and Jaime Adams of Aurora; two daughters, Adelynn Ferdinand and Raelynn Burnaugh; maternal grandfather, Bob Robertson, of St. Louis, Missouri; his maternal grandmother, Ilene McDowell of Marionville, Missouri; paternal grandmother, Sherry Hays of Texas and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

His paternal grandfather, Olan Adams and maternal step-grandfather, Rodolph McDowell, preceded him in death.

A celebration of James’s life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 14, 2019 at the Harvest Fellowship Church in Aurora. Arrangements are under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora.
