Obituary for Karen Lea Howell

Karen Lea Howell, age 54, of Aurora, Missouri, passed away at 8:47 p.m. on Monday, October 29, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. She was born September 9, 1964, in Independence, Missouri, the daughter of Calvin Lee and Judith Ann (Edmondson) Craig.

Karen was a 1982 graduate of William Chrisman High School in Independence, Missouri and worked as clerk for Casey’s in Aurora. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Independence, Missouri.

On October 16, 2010, she married Bill Lee Howell in Mt. Vernon, Missouri.

Karen is survived by her husband, Bill, of Aurora; her parents, Calvin and Judith Craig; one son, Truman Farnsworth; one brother, James B. Craig and his fiancée, Kelly Marshall and one nephew, James R. Craig all of Independence, Missouri; her mother-in-law, Sharon Howell of Bergman, Arkansas.

Her son, Christopher Farnsworth, and paternal grandparents, Clifford and Naomi Craig, preceded her in death.

A graveside service, under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora.
