Obituary for Mary Margaret Medcalf

Mary Margaret Medcalf, age 95, of Aurora, Missouri, passed away at 4:14 a.m. on Sunday, September 30, 2018, at the Sonshine Manor in Republic, Missouri. She was born March 30, 1923, at Marlow, Oklahoma, the daughter of James Robert and Hattie V. Qualls.

Mary was a 1941 graduate of Marlow High School in Marlow, Oklahoma. Mary and her husband John were the owners of Medcalf Upholstery in Aurora and she was member of the First Christian Church in Aurora.

On September 2, 1939, she married John R. Medcalf in Duncan, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on October 31, 1999.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Ann Pettit and her husband, Walt, of Republic; two sons, Phil Metcalf and his wife, Beckye, of Battlefield, Missouri and Danny Medcalf and his wife, Lynda, of Republic; one sister, Dora Tweety of Albuquerque, New Mexico; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Her parents, James and Hattie, and husband, John, preceded her in death.

A private burial will be held at a later date at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora. Arrangements are under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora.
