Obituary for Bonnie Lou Rea

Bonnie Lou Rea, age 78, of Shell Knob, Missouri, passed away at 3:25 a.m. on Monday, November 06, 2017, at the Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.  She was born November 26, 1938, in Aurora, Missouri, the daughter of Burton and Helen (Teller) Berry.

Bonnie was a 1957 graduate of Aurora High School and graduated from the Beauty School Academy in Wichita, Kansas.  She worked for the Aurora Beauty Shop for 10 years before opening Bonnie’s Beauty Shop in Aurora.  After closing her shop Bonnie went to work for MWM Dexter in the customer service department for 30 plus years retiring in 2001.

On April 23, 1960, she married Jimmie Rea, in Aurora.

Bonnie is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jimmie; one daughter, Peggy Collins and her husband, Kerry, of St. Louis, Missouri; three grandchildren, Rachel Collins, of Studio City, California, William Collins and Julia Collins of St. Louis; one sister, Jean Berry of Fallbrook, California; brother-in-law, William Rea, of Aurora and several nieces and nephews.

Her parents, Burton and Helen, and two brothers, Leonard and Earl Berry, preceded her in death.

A graveside service, under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 10, 2017, at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora.
