Obituary for Hazel Mae Henson

Hazel Mae Henson, age 93, of Aurora, Missouri, passed away at 5:40 p.m. on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at the Republic Nursing and Rehab in Republic, Missouri. She was born February 8, 1924, in Campbell, Missouri, the daughter of John and Bertha (Hart) Sullivan.

Hazel was a nurse’s aide and cook for nursing homes in Campbell, Missouri and the state of Oregon before moving to Aurora in 2000 and was of the Baptist faith.

On February 24, 1942, she married Aaron Henson, in Campbell, Missouri. He preceded her in death on April 9, 1985.

Hazel is survived by three sons, Ronald G. Henson of Oak Harbor, Washington, Aaron D. Henson of Ogden, Utah and Carlos Henson of Republic, Missouri; seven grandchildren,13 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Her parents, John and Bertha, husband, Aaron, son, Larry Henson and sister, Mildred, preceded her in death.

A graveside service, under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, in Aurora, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 12, 2018, at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora.
